GMC Hummer EV in the 2021 Neiman Marcus Christmas catalog.

With the holiday season just around the corner, Neiman Marcus has published a new edition of its annual Christmas catalog, offering helpful gift ideas.

The catalog has featured a number of automotive gifts over the years, and this year's catalog also features the 2022 GMC Hummer EV.

However, we are not talking about an ordinary Hummer EV; at a staggering $285,000, it is a custom model of which only one is available.

It is based on the special Hummer EV Edition 1 Launch Edition, which is already quite expensive at $112,595, and was developed in conjunction with Barrett-Jackson. Craig Jackson, chairman and CEO of the auction company, helped design the vehicle's custom interior, which includes two-tone leather trim and anodized metal accents. It also features a Neiman Marcus badge and paddle lamps with the retailer's initials.

Purchasers will also receive a home charger and preferred parking at the Neiman Marcus store charging station of their choice. In addition, buyers will be given VIP access to Jackson's personal skybox at the Barrett-Jackson auction in Scottsdale, Arizona in January. They will also be given the opportunity to drop the gavel at one of the sales.

As part of the purchase, $10,000 will be donated to The Heart of Neiman Marcus Foundation.

The Hummer EV Edition 1 is based on the EV3X, the range-topping grade of the Hummer EV, with a peak output of 1,000 hp and maximum torque of 1,200 lb-ft and a 0-60 mph time of 3.0 seconds. Remember, this is with a vehicle weight of over 9,000 lbs.

Currently, GMC only offers the Hummer EV in Edition 1. The regular EV3X grade will be available later this year, starting at $99,995. The less capable EV2X and EV2 grades will arrive in 2023 and 2024, respectively. Prices will start at $89,995 for the EV2X and $79,995 for the EV2. The Hummer EV SUV will also be available in 2023.
