A documentary will be made about the "cannonball" Countach.

The Haggerty Drivers Foundation has produced its second feature-length documentary film: titled "Supercar Legends", it focuses, as the title suggests, on another car on the National Historic Register, the 1979 Lamborghini Countach.

It was only recently that the Foundation released its first feature film, 88 MPH: The Story of the Delorean Time Machine.

"Cannonball Run Countach: A Supercar Legend" explains why this 1979 Countach LP400 S is one of the most important supercars in America, as well as the most famous secret car race in automotive history, the Cannonball Baker Sea to Shine Hear the story of how it won the Cannonball Baker Sea to Shining Sea Memorial Trophy Dash, the most famous and secretive car race in automotive history.

"Started by famed automotive journalist Brock Yates as a rebellion against American speed limits and automobile regulations in the 1970s, the "Cannonball Run" became a Hollywood movie starring blacked-out supercars. The Hollywood movie "Cannonball Run" and the true story of the cross-country run shocked society and inspired people to dream of breaking the so-called "Cannonball Record" by plastering a Lamborghini Countach on the bedroom walls of teenagers across America.

This documentary film runs just under an hour and 20 minutes, so pop some popcorn in the microwave and enjoy.
