Alpina has revealed its take on BMW's updated 3 Series. Alpina's latest B3 has increased power to 488 hp and the interior features new technology, including a larger screen in the instrument cluster and infotainment hub.
BMW celebrated the 50th anniversary of its M division with the M3 Edition 50 Jahre BMW M. The sports sedan is limited to 500 units, with prices starting at $96,695, and buyers can choose from a selection of exterior colors last used on the E30 and E46 M3 generations, among others.
Another automaker celebrating its anniversary this week was Toyota, which unveiled its 4Runner 40th Anniversary Special Edition, based on the 4Runner's SR5 Premium four-wheel-drive grade, with a total of 4,040 units to be produced in the U.S.
Toyota's 4Runner 40th Anniversary Special Edition will be available in the U.S. for $3,000.
We spent a week in the 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit Reserve and found it to be a luxury vehicle. With quilted leather-massage front seats, five screens, night vision, and a V-8 engine, the Grand Cherokee does not lack luxury in this grade.
The other car we tested was the latest Acura Integra, now available as a 2023 model. Scheduled to go on sale this summer starting at $31,895, the modern Integra is a sporty hatchback with 200 horsepower and a six-speed manual transmission.
Sterantis Design chief Ralph Gires teamed up with Speedcore Performance Group of Wisconsin to build his dream car. The result was the 1968 Dodge Charger, made almost entirely of carbon fiber and powered by a 1,000-horsepower Helfant V-8.
And finally, one of the prototypes we spotted testing this week is rumored to be a modern take on the 1970s Porsche 911 2.5 S/T. The prototype looks like the tester we saw for the 911 GT3 Touring, but has unique elements that point to this being another retro sports car along the lines of the recently revealed 911 Sport Classic.
