Paul Walker's Porsche 911, McMurtry Spearing, 2022 Ford Bronco Everglades: top photo of the week

Paul Walker is a true car guy, and naturally he had one of the most sought-after Porsches in his collection, a 1973 911 Carrera RS 2.7. It will be auctioned off next month, with the final bid likely to reach seven figures.

Volkswagen has unveiled a concept car that previews a mid-size electric sedan that will replace the Passat in 2023. The sedan will likely be named the ID.6, and we have previously spotted a prototype in the wild.

Another electric car that made headlines this week is the McMurtry Spiering. It was the fastest car on the famous hill climb at Goodwood House in England, beating out numerous Formula 1 racing cars.

Porsche's new 963 LMDh racing car also made an appearance at Goodwood House last weekend at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. The new racing car will compete next year in both the GTP (Grand Touring Prototype) class of the IMSA United Sports Car Championship and the Hypercar class of the FIA World Endurance Championship.

Yet another Porsche in the news this week was a prototype of what appears to be a special edition of the new 911. This car is rumored to be a modernized version of the 1970s 911 2.5 S/T.

BMW was also spotted testing a modernized version of its 1970s 3.0 CSL homologation special. Based on the recently unveiled M4 CSL, this new special edition will be produced in only 50 units and is rumored to cost close to $800,000 each.

The 2024 Ioniq 6, the production version of Hyundai's stunning "Prophecy" concept car from a few years ago, was revealed this week. We are pleased to report that this production version stays true to the concept's appealing lines and competes directly with the Tesla Model 3 in terms of performance.
