The 2023 Cadillac CT4-V Black Wing Truck Edition has been announced and orders will begin August 1.
If you're considering the Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing but still can't decide, Cadillac is giving you another reason to pull the trigger.
Cadillac unveiled a new racing version of its small sports sedan on social media this week.
It is set to debut in July, arriving in dealerships as a 2023 model, with orders set to begin on August 1.
We will not see any performance upgrades not already offered for the CT4-V Blackwing. Instead, the car will feature unique interior packages, colors, and graphics, Cadillac said. The graphics signify Cadillac's success in IMSA-sanctioned races at iconic American racetracks. Three sets will be available, highlighting Watkins Glen, Road Atlanta, and Sebring.
A short teaser video shows some of the graphics. It also shows a car equipped with what appears to be the Carbon Fiber 1 and Carbon Fiber 2 packages available now.
The Carbon Fiber 1 package adds a front splitter, dive plane, and rear spoiler, while the Carbon Fiber 2 package adds side skirts and a rear diffuser. Together, these add about $7,000 to the CT4-V Blackwing's price.
Since there will be no performance upgrades, the CT4-V Blackwing is expected to have a stock twin-turbo 3.6-liter V-6 engine under its hood. It produces 472 hp and 445 lb-ft of torque, all of which is sent to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual transmission.
Stay tuned.
