The Infiniti QX80 will get an update and a new design language.

Infiniti's current design language can be traced back to the 2009 Essence concept, but a new look is planned and we will see it first in the QX80 monograph concept to be unveiled within the next 12 months, Automotive News (requires (subscription required) reported this week following an interview with Infiniti Chairman Peyman Karger.

According to the report, the QX80 monograph concept will spawn a redesigned QX80 with a new design language in late 2023 or early the following year. the QX80's arrival means Infiniti will begin a major reformation to redesign its dealerships and prepare for the launch of electric vehicles to prepare for the launch of electric vehicles.

Infiniti has several EVs planned, with the first set to arrive in 2025. It will be built at parent company Nissan's plant in Canton, Mississippi, and is expected to replace the aging Q50 sedan.

The redesigned QX80 will be the third iteration of Infiniti's full-size SUV and will not yet go the EV route, dating back to the original Infiniti QX56 launched nearly 20 years ago, Nissan's F-Alpha It is expected to use an updated version of the body-on-frame platform.

Quoting a person familiar with Infiniti's product plans, the redesigned QX80 will help further differentiate it from the related Nissan Armada and Patrol duos and provide better competition for the likes of the Cadillac Escalade and Lexus LX than the current model It will be upscale. Nissan's Armada and Patrol are also scheduled to be redesigned in 2023, and word on the street is that the current models' 5.6-liter V-8 engine will be replaced by a twin-turbocharged V-6.
