Cadillac Celestic, Flex Toyota Conversion, and 1965 Shelby Cobra: Top Photos of the Week
Cadillac has released photos of its upcoming flagship Celestic, which will be revealed in full on July 22 and is destined to be a halo vehicle for both Cadillac and General Motors.
The Porsche 959 is a rare car, and Formula 1 driver Nick Heidfeld revealed his own real car this week. The car had not been driven much before Heidfeld acquired it, so he had it fully restored by Porsche.
Japan's Flex Automotive has been in business for over 50 years and this week announced its entry into the American market. Flex offers retro conversions for a variety of modern Toyota vehicles, including the Land Cruiser and the soon-to-be-released Tacoma.
Kia is nearing the launch of an electric SUV with a rugged exterior and third-row seats, a prototype of which was spotted this week. The vehicle is a production version of the EV9 concept unveiled at the 2021 Los Angeles Auto Show and appears to be similar in design to the impressive show car.
The other vehicle spotted testing is a modified Mercedes-Benz S-Class. It is still early days, as the improved version is not expected to hit the market for another two years.
Toyota has unveiled the design of the 2023 Crown, which is expected to go on sale in the U.S. later this year. The version we will get is a highriding sedan, but there are three other body styles, some of which we may see in the U.S.
A 1965 Shelby 427 Competition Cobra race car made the news this week. The Competition Cobra is one of only 23 left, and has been driven in anger by no less than three Formula 1 drivers.
And finally, the redesigned 2023 Honda CR-V debuted this week with a bigger and bolder design. While the interior and exterior have been updated, the powertrain has been carried over with only minor tweaks and improvements.
