2024 Jeep Avenger Spy Shots: baby Jeep, gas and electric options now available

A baby Jeep positioned below the compact Renegade is coming soon, and prototypes have been spotted again.

The new subcompact crossover was confirmed on Thursday as the Jeep Avenger, and unfortunately the vehicle will not be offered in the U.S.

According to Jeep, the Avenger will go on sale in Europe in early 2023 and then in several Asian markets . Its world debut will take place on October 17 at the 2022 Paris Motor Show.

The Spy Shot prototype is a model with an internal combustion engine, but an electric version is also planned. The Sterantis off-road brand is serious about electrification, with plans to offer electric options in all major SUV segments by as early as 2025. Jeep is also known to be bringing three electric SUVs to the U.S. by 2025, including the Recon off-roader and the Wagoneer S (code name only) luxury model.

The Avenger is expected to ride on the Sterantis CMP platform and twin with similar models from Alfa Romeo and Fiat; the CMP platform is designed for subcompact cars and is currently used in DS 3 crossovers and Opel Mokka It is currently used in crossovers such as the DS 3 crossover and Opel Mokka.

The DS 3 and Mokka electric cars are powered by a 50 kwh battery and a single 136 hp motor, but performance could be improved in the electric Avenger and the rumored Alfa Romeo EV.

The Alfa Romeo is called Brennero and is rumored to hit the market in 2024. The rumored Fiat is likely to be the successor to the 500X. Both are expected to be produced at the Tich plant in Poland along with the Avenger.

As for other EVs, Jeep will use the Sterantis EV-specific platform. The platforms are STLA Small, STLA Medium, STLA Large, and STLA Frame, with ranges starting at 300 miles and reaching 500 miles.
