Special edition Defender commemorating the 75th anniversary of the first Land Rover

When the first Series 1 Land Rover made its world debut at the 1948 Amsterdam Auto Show, no one would have thought that it would spawn the luxury SUV brand for which it would become known worldwide decades later.

Now, 75 years after its debut, Land Rover remembers its humble beginnings with a special Defender, the closest in spirit to the Series 1 in Land Rover's current lineup. available in 2-door 90 or 4-door 110 body styles, it is called Grasmere Green The Defender is available in a special green paint job called Grasmere Green. This paint was also applied to the standard 20-inch wheels, including the center caps.

The cabin also has Grasmere Green accents, combined with black-trimmed seats. There is also a material called Robustec, which Land Rover describes as the most rugged fabric available for the Defender. It is also used in the center console.

The Defender 75th Limited Edition is offered only on the P400 grade of the Defender, meaning a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six engine in a mild hybrid configuration. It delivers 395 hp and 406 lb-ft of torque, and an eight-speed automatic and four-wheel drive complete the package.

All Defender 75th Limited Editions feature a folding fabric roof, 14-way driver and passenger seats with heating and memory functions, heated steering wheel, three-zone climate control, and surround view camera system, Meridian premium audio, a heads-up display, a wireless charger for mobile devices, and an 11.4-inch infotainment screen are also included.
