Lamborghini Aventador successor, 2024 Mercedes-Benz AMG C 63, 2023 BMW Alpina XB7: Top photos of the week

Lamborghini's successor to the Aventador was spotted this week. Equipped with a new V-12 engine and hybrid technology, the redesigned supercar will take Lamborghini into the next era.

Brabus unveiled a wild pickup truck based on the Mercedes-Benz AMG G 63, called the P 900 Rocket Edition, of which only 10 will be built, each with 888 hp.

Another AMG that made headlines this week is the C 63, redesigned for 2024. This sports sedan will feature a four-cylinder hybrid powertrain that produces 671 hp.

Historic French manufacturer Delage is back, and its first product is a hypercar dubbed the D12. The hypercar was first unveiled two years ago with a jet fighter-like canopy, but the company revealed this week that two open-top designs are available.

Volkswagen Group has unveiled a concept that will feature a Level 5 self-driving system. The concept imagines the future of private car ownership, and while it will not be commercially available, some of its features may be seen in showrooms.

German tuner Alpina, now part of the BMW Group, unveiled the 2023 XB7, based on the BMW X7. This high-performance three-row SUV will be introduced in the U.S. in early 2023 with a 630 hp twin-turbo V-8 and hybrid combo.

BMW also showed off the livery of its new 2023 M Hybrid V8 LMDh racing car; BMW will enter two cars in the IMSA Sports Car Championship in 2023 and in the FIA World Endurance Championship in 2024.

And finally, Dodge unveiled the final model in its "Last Call" series, marking the end of production of the Challenger and Charger. The latest honors Detroit police officer Godfrey Quarles and his 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T SE, known as the Black Ghost.
