GMC's second electric pickup truck, the day of destiny.

On Friday, GM announced that the GMC Sierra EV Denali will be revealed on October 20 at 5 PM ET. The teaser video also premiered the design of the electric truck.

The face of the Sierra EV remains largely unchanged from the initial renderings: the LED charging status indicator lights are mounted inside the large C-shaped LED daytime running lights, all of which are positioned above the split headlights; the GMC badge remains illuminated and and the grille is LED-backlit. The hood is sculpted.

Inside, the Denali model's front seats are upholstered in cooled quilted leather.

GM will produce the GMC Sierra EV at its Orion, Michigan assembly plant along with the 2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV.

Like its Chevrolet siblings, the Sierra EV will be built on GM's Ultium platform and is targeted to have a range of 400 miles. Chevrolet's pickup features a rear-wheel steering system, up to 10 power outlets, including a 240-volt outlet in the cargo bed, and up to 10.2 kw of power output to charge other EVs.

The 800-volt electric architecture allows for a charge rate of up to 350 kw, which GM claims can add 100 miles of range in 10 minutes.

The Chevy-badged truck features a dual-motor powertrain with 664 hp and 780 lb-ft of torque and a 0-60 mph sprint in less than 4.5 seconds. It has a maximum towing capacity of 10,000 lbs. and a maximum payload of 1,300 lbs.
