Rivian recalls, 2023 BMW M2, 2024 BMW X2: a week in reverse
Rivian recalls nearly all its vehicles, the 2023 BMW M2 breaks cover, and the 2024 BMW X2 begins testing. This is the Week in Reverse, brought to you by the Motor Authority.
Rivian has announced a recall of nearly all vehicles it manufactured. The problem stems from improperly tightened fasteners on the steering knuckles that can loosen and separate. As a result, the controllability of the vehicle could be compromised. To correct this problem, a simple inspection and tightening to a torque of 90 lb-ft is all that is needed.
