Up for auction is a Lamborghini Countach with 155 miles and original tires.

Imagine buying a factory Lamborghini, parking it, and then not driving it for decades.

The owner (in this case, the owner) of this 1990 Lamborghini Countach 25th Anniversary Edition essentially did so. (Chassis number ZA9CA05A7LLA12718 has only 249 km (about 155 miles) on the odometer. It also has the original Pirelli P Zero tires, but they would be too dangerous to drive at high speeds now.

According to the listing from auction company RM Sotheby's, the mileage is only slightly more than the miles delivered, and the car will be offered at a sale in Phoenix, Arizona on January 26. According to the original bill of sale, the car was delivered to its first owner in 1990 with only 138 kilometers (82 miles) on the odometer. The price paid was $275,000.

The first owner owned the car for 17 years, adding only 13 km (8 miles) in that time; it was returned to the original dealer (in this case, Clark Motor Company of Heath, Ohio) in 2007 and then kept in the collection from 2010 to 2020. It was kept as a collection. The current seller purchased it in 2020.

Given its remarkable condition and perhaps the fewest miles of any Countach, this car is sure to attract a lot of attention at the upcoming sale, with RM Sotheby's expecting a final bid of $750,000 to $1 million.

The 25th Anniversary model, as the name implies, was created to commemorate Lamborghini's 25th anniversary. It was designed by Horacio Pagani, CEO and founder of Pagani, when he was still working for Lamborghini.

It is powered by a 5.2-liter V-12 engine that produces 455 horsepower and reaches a top speed of 183 mph. Tire sizes were 225/50 in the front and 345/35 in the rear, the widest of any production car at the time.
