The Ram 1500 REV electric pickup truck has been announced for the market.

The paint is barely dry on the Ram 1500 Revolution electric pickup truck concept unveiled at the 2023 CES in January.

On Thursday, at the 2023 Chicago Auto Show, Ram CEO Mike Koval Jr. released two teaser images of the Ram 1500 REV production model.

The teasers show glimpses of the electric pickup truck's grille, headlights, and the REV badge on the hood.

Ram has been tight-lipped about the appearance of the rest of the production truck, but the teasers confirm that the concept truck's LED daytime running lights running in the grille will be ready for production.

The Ram script on the solid-looking blacked-out grille is backlit, but it is unclear if all trims and models will be backlit.

The sculpted hood features a raised center section similar to the current gasoline-powered Ram, presumably for aerodynamic performance.

Ram will build the electric 1500 REV on Sterantis' new STLA frame platform.

Range has not yet been discussed, but Koval told Motor Authority that 300-400 miles seems to be the sweet spot for most consumers. According to Sterantis, the platform can travel up to 500 miles.

Charging speeds have not been disclosed, but Ram claims that this concept truck can add 100 miles of range in 10 minutes when connected to a 350kw DC fast charger.

An electric off-road TRX model is not out of the realm of possibility, but has yet to be confirmed.
