Trailer for the fifth season of the Netflix series F1: Drive to Survive.

Trailer for Season 5 of Popular Netflix Series Formula 1 Released as 2023 Formula 1 World Championship Begins: the trailer for season 5 of Netflix's popular series "Formula 1: Drive to Survive" has been released.

The new season will debut on the Netflix streaming service on February 24 and will focus on the events that took place in the year 2022.Although Formula 1's 2022 season was ultimately topped by Red Bull Racing's Max Verstappen, Ferrari's competitive shone early on, and many struggles were seen at Mercedes-Benz AMG.

F1 management acknowledged last May that "Drive to Survive" would continue for a fifth and sixth season. The show has allowed for a high degree of behind-the-scenes access, thanks to the close cooperation between F1 and its teams. Season 4, which documented the close race between Verstappen and Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton, has been particularly successful in terms of viewership, helping to expand the popularity of F1.

The show is particularly popular in the United States, where it will run three races this year, with American driver Logan Sargent driving for Williams. Ford recently announced a partnership with Red Bull Racing, and General Motors has revealed that it is considering launching a team with Andretti Global. This team would be the second American team after Haas.

Nevertheless, F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali said that the future of the Netflix series is not guaranteed, noting in an interview in 2022 that F1 must add value for "Drive to Survive" to continue. In other words, it all depends on how this latest season is received by viewers.

As for the new F1 season, most teams have revealed their car designs. The official pre-season test will take place on February 23 at the Bahrain International Circuit, the site of the Bahrain Grand Prix. The first race will also be held in Bahrain, on March 5.
