A Porsche 914/6 once owned by Chip Ganassi is up for sale at Bonhams Amelia Island auction.

A restored matching-numbers 1971 Porsche 914/6 Targa once owned by Motorsports Hall of Fame member Chip Ganassi will be offered at Bonhams' Amelia Island Auction on March 2, 2023. Bonhams estimates that this Porsche 914/6 will sell for between $100,000 and $125,000, and its pedigree is supported by Porsche's certificate of authenticity and extensive restoration receipts totaling over $38,950.

This 914/6 was built in May 1971 and delivered new to Mr. Vernon W. Gruzenour of Somerset, PA on July 20, 1971. It is not known how long Mr. Gruzenour has owned the Porsche, but service records in the original maintenance booklet indicate that the 914/6 was serviced at the same Pittsburgh Porsche dealership from new until it was no longer recorded in the booklet after 56,600 miles had been driven. It had been.
