Spy Shots and Video of 2025 Lamborghini Huracan Successor

Lamborghini was first spotted testing a prototype of the Huracan's successor.

The new supercar will be equipped with a plug-in hybrid powertrain in late 2024, and judging from the spy shots and video, it will boast a design that sets it apart from its Revuelto brother.

The face of the car is very different, featuring slit-like headlights and large daytime running lights in a hexagonal shape. It also has a large intake above the rear fender and is generally shorter than the Revuelto.

The Huracan and its predecessor, the Gallardo, are closely related to Audi's R8 supercar, but the Huracan's successor is expected to borrow from the Revuelt, including the V12 supercar's carbon fiber tub. This makes sense given that the next R8, or Audi's next supercar, will be electric.

Lamborghini has confirmed that the Revuelt eight-speed dual-clutch automatic will be used in the Uracan's successor. This transmission is Lamborghini's own design, and the Revuelto integrates an electric motor. What is not clear is whether the Huracan's successor will have two more electric motors on the front axle like the Revuelto.

There are reports that the Huracán's successor may lose its current V-10 engine and instead use a V-8 for the internal combustion engine component of the plug-in hybrid powertrain. Lamborghini plans to use this V-8 engine in its Urus plug-in hybrid vehicle, which is expected to arrive in the first half of 2024, and the engine sound of the prototype shown in the video is similar to that of the V-8 engine in the Urus.

The Huracán Sterrato, unveiled last December, is the final version of the Huracán and the last Lamborghini regular production model with a pure combustion engine; by the end of 2024 all Lamborghini regular production models will be electric. . although they may be limited to track use, like the 2020 Essenza SCV12.
