2025 Bentley Continental GT Spy Shots and Video

Bentley is preparing an update to the Continental GT and a prototype has been spotted.

Judging by the camouflage gear used on the test car, changes will be minimal. The most significant tweaks appear to be new internals for the lights on both ends.

The rear lights in particular feature more detail, similar to what was shown on the EXP 100 GT concept presented in 2019 as a means to preview Bentley's next-generation design.

The current Continental GT was launched in 2018 as a 2019 model. Since then, several variants have been launched, including a special Coach-built model that shares the Continental GT's platform. These include the 2020 Baccarat Convertible and the 2022 Batur Coupe, the latter confirmed by Bentley as the last model to feature the venerable W-12 engine.

The upgraded Continental GT is expected to go on sale in 2024 as a 2025 model. Hybrid technology will be introduced and may become standard equipment. An upgraded version of the Continental GT convertible should also be available at about the same time.

The hybrid system is likely to be the same plug-in hybrid powertrain used in the Bentayga Hybrid and Flying Spur Hybrid, consisting of a 2.9-liter V6 twin turbo and an electric motor, producing a total of 536 hp. The most powerful Bentley currently on the road. The 6.0-liter W-12 twin-turbo, currently Bentley's most powerful powertrain, is scheduled to end production in April 2024.

Bentley plans to gradually add electrification to its full lineup before moving to a fully electric vehicle lineup by 2030. The first electric Bentley will be unveiled in 2025 and will go on sale the following year; it is expected to be a sort of four-door Grand Tourer; it will be a "four-door Bentley with a four-door steering wheel, a four-door steering wheel, and a four-door steering wheel.
