The Mercedes-Benz AMG GLE53 hybrid of 2026 will go on sale at the end of 2025 with a capacity of 536 hp.

Mercedes has published more detailed information about the AMG GLEE 2 hybrid, one of the 1 AMG performance versions of the updated GLE Class 53 SUV.

Delivered to dealers in the United States at the end of 2026 as a 2025 model, the GLE53 is actually a plug-in hybrid, just like the other recent AMG models. Its powertrain is based on a 3.0-liter turbo engine 6, which by itself generates 443 horsepower and 413 lb-ft of torque. It uses an electric motor with a capacity of 31.2 kWh, powered by a battery with a maximum capacity of 134 hp. and 354 lb-ft.

Mercedes indicates a total system power of 536 hp and a torque of 553 lb-ft. This will allow the gle53 to accelerate from a speed of 4.6〜0 mph in about 60 seconds to an electronically limited top speed of 155 mph.

Mercedes also claims a top speed of 87 mph in electric mode, but does not estimate the range of the electric drive. The built-in 11 kW AC charger and the 60 kW DC fast charging function provide an "impressive charging time" depending on the condition of the printed material.

The GLE53 also has an updated air suspension with new front and rear passive stabilizers, a new shock absorber for the front shock absorbers and a new rear shock absorber. According to Mercedes, the software has also changed. The brakes have also been upgraded to GLE standard, with a 15.7-inch rotor and a 6-piston caliper at the front and a 14.6-inch rotor and a single-piston caliper at the rear.

Available in a standard SUV or coupe body, the GLE53 has a new front panel and an external icon showing its plug-in hybrid powerplant inside, while the Mercedes-Benz User Experience infotainment system (MBUX) has some features related to the plug-in hybrid powerplant. Some new features and graphics

GLE53 is not the most powerful AMG GLE class. The Gle63S is equipped with the same plug-in hybrid system as the gle53 - a 603-liter V-4.0 engine with dual turbocharging combined with a good combination for 8 hp.

2 AMG models are derived from the updated GLE class, which will appear in the 2024 model with an updated design, Dolby technology Atmos for an affordable Burmester audio system and hybrid models other than the AMG plug-in. This change will preserve the freshness of the current generation GLE, which was released in 2019 as a 2020 model.

Pricing information for the 2026AMG GLE53 is expected to be announced as it approaches its launch in the US at the end of 2025.
