Glickenhouse ends Le Mans campaign by focusing on road cars

Glickenhouse will withdraw from the FIA World Endurance Championship at the end of the current season, which means that the company's 007LMH will no longer participate in top-level endurance races, including the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

The American Performance brand confirmed the transition to Evo last week, which allowed them to focus their efforts again on creating road cars, especially 004 supercars and boot devices.

The founder of the company, Jim Glickenhouse, also showed that such series as the Nurburgring Endurance series will have a direct correlation with 004, a popular series held at the Ebonurburgring racetrack, Glickenhouse is a Ferrari supercar from Pininfarina. Race in the racing version of the P4/5

Ryan Briscoe, one of the team's drivers, will drive for the new Van Wall team in the 2024 season, and Jacques Villeneuve will also drive for Van Wall in the supercars class with the new LMH. It will be.

Glickenhouse was the first team to register in the supercars class of the World Endurance Racing Championship, which opened in 2021. It was also the first season for the new generation of LMH racing cars. At the time, Toyota was the only other team to have an LMH race car, the GR010 hybrid. Alpine also existed, but there was a grandfather's A480LMP1 racing car.

Glickenhaus did not achieve much success in this sport, but he expected his first stage victory at Monza in 2022, until 007LMH turbo failed in the middle and put an end to his hopes of winning. In addition, in 2022 Le Mans finished in 3rd place overall.

The Glickenhouse '007LMH is a self-developed racing car equipped with a custom-made 3.5-liter V-8 twin-turbocharged engine developed by Pipo Moteurs in France. Glickenhouse also introduced a related 007s hypercar designed for the roads, and according to Evo, production of this car is still planned. Glickenhouse has previously stated that production will only begin if the company receives at least 24 orders.
