810-horsepower supercharger kit for 2024 Mustang V-8 priced at $9,995

Ford offers a supercharger kit for the 2024 Mustang GT and Dark Horse models.

First previewed on the Mustang FP800S concept at the 2023 SEMA Show, the kit is now available via Ford Performance for $9,995 (part number M-6066-M8800). The kit is not approved for public road use in California, so California residents will miss out.

The kit was developed in partnership with Whipple Superchargers, and Ford said it was tested to Ford's own OEM durability standards. When installed by a dealer or ASE-authorized store, the kit is covered by a three-year, 36,000-mile warranty.

The kit is designed for the 5.0-liter V-8 found in the Mustang GT and Dark Horse, which makes 810 hp at 7,500 rpm. The kit requires at least 91 octane fuel and is only rated at 800 hp for cars not equipped with active exhaust.

Included in the kit is a 3.0-liter Whipple twin-screw supercharger, an air-to-water intercooler with a high-flow intercooler pump and oversized heat exchanger, plus high-flow fuel injectors, billet high-flow fuel rails, high-flow intake, 92 mm throttle bodies. Tomahawk V2 flash tool is also included.

A similar kit with 700 hp was released last year for the F-150.

For buyers seeking higher performance, Whipple Superchargers offers a Stage 2 version of the same supercharger that delivers 855 hp. The Stage 2 version increases power at higher rpm and increased shift points.

Ford appears to have more upgrades in store for the latest Mustang. At last year's SEMA Concept, the company also introduced a half-shaft upgrade kit, a suspension lowering kit, and carbon fiber aero parts.
