2025 Ferrari 812 Superfast successor spotted on the road

Ferrari was spotted testing a prototype of the successor to the 812 Superfast.

The prototype is heavily camouflaged, but the proportions are unmistakable. Details can be seen through the camouflage, such as the hood vents, slim headlights, and some of the taillight design.

Earlier spy shots showed an early test mule using a makeshift body from the Rome Coupe to hide the new mechanicals, and the sound of the test mule in a video from the YouTube channel Car Spy Media shows a V-12 under the hood. mounted.

The 812 was introduced in 2017 and traces its roots back to the F12 Berlinetta, which debuted in 2012. Its successor, codenamed F167, will debut in 2024 and bring a new platform and new engines. According to rumors, its debut could be as early as May.

The successor to the 812 will likely be built on Ferrari's latest platform for front midship cars, first unveiled in 2018, which will support multiple wheelbase lengths, engine types, and seat configurations. It could also be equipped with all-wheel drive or hybrid technology.

It is almost certain that the V-12 will be featured in the 812's successor, but it is not known if it will be electrified in any way.

The engine that will be used in the 812 successor would be the newly developed 6.5-liter V-12 that debuted in the Prosangue last year. This engine produces 715 hp in the SUV, but the 812 successor will likely produce even more. The 812 Superfast, also with a 6.5-liter V-12 engine, has a maximum output of 789 hp; the hard-core version, the 812 Competizione, has been raised to 819 hp.

V-12 fans can also look forward to the successor to the Aston Martin DBS, which is scheduled to debut this year. A prototype of this model has also been spotted recently.
