2024 Chevy Silverado Fox Factory Edition Target Raptor, RHO

While the Chevrolet Silverado 1500 has a ZR2 option for off-roaders, there is still a void in the high-performance off-road truck lineup to compete with vehicles like the Ford F-150 Raptor R and the upcoming Ram 1500 RHO (the modest successor to the TRX).

Suspension expert Fox Factory offered an option to fill that void this week with the introduction of the 2024 Chevrolet Silverado Fox Factory Edition. Fox is the company that has supplied dampers for generations of Raptors, and for this Silverado custom, the company teamed up with off-road racing experts Brentel Industries, led by brothers Jordan and Jonathan Brentel.

Naturally, the truck is equipped with Fox's top-of-the-line dampers. This 3.2 live-valve internal bypass coilover damper continuously adjusts compression and extension in real time to suit conditions, depending on a variety of inputs, including steering angle, brake and throttle position, and more. In addition, a toggle switch on the dash allows the driver to switch between multiple pre-programmed damping algorithms.

Other suspension components are supplied by Brentel Industries and include the company's Baja Kits long-travel front suspension and rear aluminum trailing arms. The result is nearly 15 inches of travel front and rear. In addition to the new suspension, 37-inch BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2s wrapped around 17-inch Method Race forged wheels added 7.5 inches to the truck's overall width, for a total of 88.5 inches.

To ensure adequate performance under the hood, Fox added a Whipple supercharger to Silverado's 6.2-liter V-8, increasing output from 420 hp to 700 hp. Drive is transmitted to all four wheels via a stock 10-speed automatic and a two-speed transfer case. The front axle is an RCV CV, while the rear is fitted with a JE Reel driveline and full-width semi-float Dana 60 axle, 3.73 gear set, ARB Air Locker locking differential, and 35-spline shaft.

The truck's design is also modified with custom steel bumpers and skid plates, additional lighting, and carbon fiber body panels including hood, flared fenders, and bed sides. On the interior, the trucks feature leather and Alcantara trim, as well as additional carbon fiber. Hardware upgrades include the aforementioned toggle switches for the dampers, plus a six-switch panel for controlling accessories. Finally, each truck has a serial numbered dash plate.

Fox is currently taking orders for these trucks. All upgrades come with a hefty price tag, and Fox estimates the starting sales price at $209,999. Only 500 units will be built, each with a three-year, 36,000-mile warranty. Fox has not disclosed when deliveries will begin.
