2025 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1, 2026 Mercedes S-class, Ford Mustang GTD: Reverse week

Chevrolet teased the 2025 Corvette ZR1, found the 2026 Mercedes-Benz S-class, and the Ford Mustang GTD ripped around the Noorburg Ring. It's the reverse week, here at the Motor Authority.

The 2025 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1's flat-plane crank twin-turbo V-8 engine sounds wild. The automaker teased the upcoming all-American supercar with a simple video clip of engine rotation, and even heard the dual-clutch automatic transmission cracking in a few shifts. Debut is set for this summer.

I drove the refreshed 2025Rivian R1S and R1T and found them to be more powerful, faster, more luxurious and more sophisticated. The updated electric trucks and SUVs will feature a new powertrain, a revised battery pack and an upgraded wire harness.

Spied the 2026 Mercedes・Benz S-class being tested on public roads. The flagship luxury sedan wore light camouflage on both the front and rear ends, but saw a larger grille and new lighting elements. I expect some style elements of the E-class to be ported to the larger S-class.
