Kevin Magnussen to leave Haas F1 Team at the end of 2024

The Haas F1 Team announced Thursday that Kevin Magnussen will leave the team at the end of 2024, leaving the team with a completely new driver lineup for 2025.

Haas' other driver, Nico Hulkenberg, also announced in April that he would be leaving the team at the end of 2024.

Hulkenberg has already announced plans to move to Sauber in 2025 and will remain with the team after it becomes a factory team for Audi in 2026.

Magnussen, who has been with Haas for seven seasons, or longer than any other driver, has said he wants to continue racing F1 beyond 2024, but it is not clear if a seat is available for the new season.

Haas already decided on one of its new drivers earlier this month. The American team has named Oliver Bearman as its driver for 2025. The promising driver is currently a reserve driver for Ferrari and has a close relationship with Haas, including the supply of power units.

The young Bairman filled in for the injured Carlos Sainz at the 2024 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix and finished a respectable seventh overall, scoring his first points in his F1 debut.

Another Haas seat is still open, but there are rumors that it will be filled by Esteban Ocon, who will leave Alpine in 2024. Ocon has previously worked with Haas team principal Ayao Komatsu, but could be with the Sauber/Audi team or Williams.
