Icon's newest restomod is a New School 1975 Bronco.

Icon restomods generally maintain the stock look of classic cars, but the California company's latest build mixes in some modern styling elements.

The Icon New School Edition 1975 Ford Bronco wears a color scheme not seen when this SUV left the factory. With a satin-finished green vinyl wrap contrasted by black powder-coated trim and angular bumpers, Icon hopes to set this Bronco apart from the more common period- or retro-style color scheme Broncos.

The updated exterior also matches the mechanical updates Icon makes to each restomod. This Bronco is built on a custom chassis with coilover suspension, Brembo brakes, and BF Goodrich K02 all-terrain tires on 18-inch aluminum wheels.

Power comes from the latest Ford Mustang GT 5.0-liter V-8, tuned to 440 hp and 44 lb-ft of torque. The engine is connected to a four-wheel drive system with a five-speed manual transmission and a two-speed transfer case. The engine is connected to a four-wheel drive system with a five-speed manual transmission and a two-speed transfer case; power is transmitted through a Dana 44 front axle with locking differential and a Dana 60 rear axle.

The all-black interior features suede leather seats and an Alcantara headliner. The rear bench seat is removable, and there are wool carpet floor mats with soundproofing material. Icon also added air conditioning, heated front seats, power windows and door locks.

New School Edition Broncos like this one start at $275,000, but prices for specific vehicles vary depending on the options selected. If a more old-school look is desired, Icon will also produce broncos in period-inspired colors. The company also does restomods for the Toyota Land Cruiser and Chevrolet Thriftmaster pickups.
