Ford Revives Brittany Blue Paint for Mustang's 60th Anniversary

The name Mustang turns 60 this year, and Ford is celebrating.

In April, Ford revealed that the 2025 Mustang GT Premium will be offered with a 60th anniversary package, and announced Friday that the package will be offered with Brittany Blue paint.

This striking color was first offered on the Mustang in 1967 and has been revived for this anniversary package. Buyers can also choose from the already announced Wimbledon White, Race Red, and Vapor Blue.

The 2025 Mustang GT, complete with the 60th Anniversary package and finished in Brittany Blue, will be on display at the 2024 Woodward Dream Cruise this weekend.

Prospective buyers will need to act quickly, as the 60th Anniversary package will be limited to 1,965 units in all, in honor of the Mustang's first model year. Ford called the original a 1964 1/2 model year, but the DMV in each state considered it a 1965 model year.

For the Brittany Blue, Ford said buyers should register their interest through the Ford website between August 16 and 19. While other 60th Anniversary package cars can be ordered in coupe or convertible body styles, the Brittany Blue color can only be ordered in coupe and 10-speed automatic transmission. It also includes Mustang's 401A equipment package, performance exhaust, Brembo brakes, 3.55 limited slip rear axle, 12-speaker B&O audio system, and Space Gray trim.

All cars in the 60th Anniversary package will have unique 20-inch wheels, side graphics, a special grille that replicates the grille of the original Mustang, and a numbered dash plate. Custom badges with Vermilion Red and Ebony Black detailing are also included.

Ford is also celebrating the Mustang's 60th anniversary by offering a digital meter cluster with the same meter design used on Mustang SVT Cobras built between 1999 and 2001. This design features a white dial with blue backlighting.

It will be available to all 2024 Mustang owners who have automatic software updates “turned on” and set to a regular schedule in the software update settings menu, Ford said. A similar retro design, matching the gauges used on the 1967 and 1968 Mustangs, has been offered since April.
