Bentley's Mariner personalization division creates a bespoke Continental GT convertible.

Next week at the Geneva International Motor Show, Bentley will unveil the Bacalar, a special coachbuilt car inspired by last year's EXP 100 GT concept car and designed by Mulliner.

But you don't have to buy a special car to take advantage of Mulliner's talent. Indeed, the Continental GT Convertible by Mulliner will be unveiled at the Geneva Salon, demonstrating what Bentley's official personalization department can do to ordinary models.

The transformation starts at the front, where a new double diamond pattern grille will appear. It is complemented by custom side vents that continue the silver and black diamond theme of the grille. The exterior is completed by 22-inch, 10-spoke wheels with floating center caps that remain upright when the wheels are turned.

The quilted leather on the seats and other surfaces, as well as the trunk lid, features a diamond pattern for the first time. Each diamond requires 712 stitches, bringing the total number of stitches in the car to about 400,000. The center console trim also features a diamond pattern.

Bentley will offer the Continental GT Convertible by Mulliner in V8 and W12 versions, with buyers being able to choose their own color options. Prices have not yet been announced.

The Geneva Motor Show will open on March 3. Information about other models, which will be presented at the Swiss exhibition, can be found on a specialized hub.
