The 2021 Cadillac Escalade ESV in a rendering that premiered at the New York Auto Show.

Cadillac unveiled a new generation of its flagship Escalade model on Tuesday, but the extra-long version, the ESV, was missing.

Cadillac announced that the ESV will be revealed at the 2020 New York International Auto Show in April, but the large SUV is already present on the online visualizer.

The visualizer's functionality is currently very basic, offering exterior color and wheel options, but more features will be added over time.

Compared to the standard Escalade, the ESV comes with an extended rear. The current ESV is 224.3 inches long and has 120.9 cubic feet of storage space. Since the new Escalade is about 7 inches larger than its standard-specification predecessor, the new ESV's overall length could be nearly 230 inches. Storage would also be huge. For example, the related GMC Yukon Stretch XL has up to 144.7 cubic feet of storage.

The new Escalade, including the ESV, will be delivered to dealers in late 2020. Pricing will be announced closer to launch, but is expected to start at approximately $76,500, similar to the current model.
