2020 Genesis G90 remains a bargain despite the price hike.

The Genesis G90 has been significantly updated for the 2020 model year, but that update comes at a price.

On Monday, the Korean brand announced a base sticker of $73,195 for the 2020 G90. This is up from $69,325 for the 2019 model.

The base 2020 G90 is rear-wheel drive and powered by a twin-turbo 3.3-liter V-6 with 365 horsepower. All-wheel drive is a $2,500 option, and those seeking more power will have to pay $76,695 for the 2020 G90 with a 5.0-liter V-8. The naturally aspirated engine has 420 horsepower. All prices include destination. 5]

Despite the price increase, the G90 still represents great value compared to rival full-size luxury sedans, and with its new styling, it finally looks as good as its rivals.

Even the base model is fully equipped, so there are few options to add: a 12.3-inch touchscreen display, Natural Speak Voice Activation, over-the-air updates, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto etc.

Numerous electronic driver assistance features are also included. Adaptive Cruise Control, Forward Collision Warning that detects cyclists and pedestrians, and Highway Driving Assist. This latter feature assists the driver in maintaining a safe distance from the vehicle ahead while automatically keeping the vehicle in the center of its lane on marked highways.

We should also mention that the G90, like all Genesis vehicles, comes with the Korean brand's generous maintenance program that includes free pickup and delivery service for the first three years or 36,000 miles.

Alternatives to the G90 include the Audi A8, BMW 7 Series, Kia K900, Lexus LS, and Mercedes-Benz S-Class.
