Updated Giulia and Stelvio Quadrifoglio models will join the Alfa Romeo lineup in 2020.

Alfa Romeo's Giulia and Stelvio have been updated for 2020, with the high-performance Quadrifoglio revealed on Thursday.

Given the 2.9-liter V-6 turbocharged engine's 505 horsepower, there was little shortage in this department, but there is no additional power, but some needed technology updates.

Key among these is a new infotainment screen with touch capability for the first time. In addition to a new easy-to-use interface similar to that found on smartphones, there is a new page dedicated to the Quadrifoglio model that displays important indicators such as temperature, boost pressure, and a digital chronometer that measures acceleration and top speed. There is still no digital meter cluster as seen on rival cars. Instead, the Alfa Romeo has two analog gauges, with a 7.0-inch screen between them.

Another important update is the addition of more advanced electronic driver assistance features. These include such useful items as blind spot warning, lane keep assist, traffic sign recognition, and adaptive cruise control with congestion and highway assist.

Designers also tweaked the center console to enhance its tactile and visual impact, as well as to provide more storage space. The steering wheel and gear lever also feature a new design, and seatbelts are now available in green and red instead of the standard black. Sport seats trimmed in leather and Alcantara are standard, but Sparco bucket seats boasting a carbon fiber shell can be added.

Unless you are a real Alfa Romeo fan, you will not notice any changes on the outside of the vehicle. The taillights are now a darker shade, and black accents have been added to the front and rear badges. Mopar also developed a number of new features, including a styling pack that adds carbon fiber accents to the grille, side mirror caps, and rear spoiler.

Finally, there are new colors divided into the Competizione, Metal, Solid, and Classic ranges. The Classic range, as the name suggests, recalls the colors used on several classic Alfa Romeos and includes 6C Villa d'Este Red, GT Junior Okura, and Montreal Green.

The updated Giulia Quadrifoglio and Stelvio Quadrifoglio will be available in Europe this summer. A U.S. release date has not yet been set. Alfa Romeo also just unveiled the hardcore Giulia GTA, but with a production run of just 500 units, it is not yet clear if it will be available locally.
