Ferrari will sell a record 13,221 cars in 2022.

Ferrari delivered a record 13,221 cars in 2022.

Despite the war in Ukraine, the energy crisis, the inflation crisis, and supply disruptions, Ferrari managed to increase the number of cars delivered in 2022 by 2,066, an 18.5% increase over 2021 results.

These figures are based on deliveries of nine models, three of which are hybrids. It also includes the number of cars delivered for special models produced in small quantities, such as the Monza SP1, SP2, and Daytona SP3.

The number of deliveries of the new Prosangue SUV is not included. The Prosangue has the potential to become the brand's most popular model due to its wide target audience. Deliveries of the Prosangue will begin in the third quarter of 2023, and Ferrari will likely set a new record.

Impressively, Ferrari's revenues are growing faster than the number of cars delivered, with net revenues for 2022 up 19.3% year over year to €5.095 billion ($5.5 billion). As a result, net income was 939 million euros ($1.022 billion), another record, Ferrari said.

Ferrari said that sales volume increased in all regions. The biggest growth was in China, where sales were up 72.6% over the previous year. The Americas also experienced strong growth with a 21.8% increase over the previous year.

Barring a global recession such as the one in 2008, there are few headwinds for Ferrari. However, the switch to electric powertrains could also be difficult, as the sound of Ferrari's engines is one of the most attractive aspects of the brand's cars. Ferrari plans to launch its first EV in 2025, which will likely be some sort of SUV or grand tourer. According to patent information, Ferrari is considering using an advanced sound generator for the nearly silent model.

Before the Ferrari EV arrives, Ferrari plans to unveil a hardcore version of the SF90 Stradale. They are also working on a special LaFerrari successor, a Roma convertible, and possibly a successor to the 812.
