2024 Maserati GranTurismo, 2023 Mini Cooper SE Convertible: best photos of the week

The Maserati GranTurismo has been redesigned for 2024, and we test drove it ahead of its market introduction this spring. The big coupe may feature evolved styling, but it will also have a twin-turbocharged V-6 instead of the previous model's V-8 and an electric option that promises a final 760 hp.

Lamborghini will celebrate its 60th anniversary in 2023, and to kick off the celebration, the company this week released a video reminding us that it created the recipe for the modern supercar when it unveiled the Miura in 1966.

One of the cars we witnessed testing this week was Ford's first model based on the MEB platform designed for Volkswagen Group's mainstream electric vehicles. The first model is a compact crossover that likely shares many similarities with the MEB-based Volkswagen ID.4.

Another car we spotted was the upcoming A6 E-Tron, though probably a high-performance variant called the RS 6 E-Tron.

Mini has been selling an electric version of its hardtop for several years and this week unveiled a convertible with the same powertrain. Only 999 electric convertibles will be built, at least for this generation, and all are destined for Europe.

Ram unveiled its 1500 electric pickup truck in an ad that aired during Super Bowl LVII. The battery-powered truck is scheduled to go on sale in 2024 and features styling closer to the current internal combustion 1500 than the 1500 Revolution concept shown at the 2023 CES in January.

Buick showed off an update to the Encore GX. This subcompact crossover will be introduced for the 2024 model year, bringing fresh styling, a more high-tech cabin, and a new luxury Avenir model.

And finally, BMW began production of its latest 3.0 CSL this week. Just 50 units will be produced, and each car will be assembled by a staff of about 30 people over a two-week period.
