Hyundai AC Cobra and Lamborghini Urus plug-in hybrids: today's car news
The British company AC Cars, which built the Ace sports car that Carroll Shelby used to build the original Shelby Cobra in the 1960s, is still going strong and plans to introduce a new sports car this year. The car will be a modern take on the Cobra, with a Ford 5.0-liter V-8 engine under the hood.
Lamborghini has committed to electrifying all its models by the end of 2024. The first to be electrified will be the successor to the Aventador, due to go on sale at the end of this month. This will be followed by the electrified Urus, a prototype of which has just been spotted.
Ford was forced to halt production of the F-150 Lightning in mid-February due to battery problems, but plans to resume production at the end of this month and ramp up significantly thereafter.
